What It Costs to Stop Spinning Your Wheels
Most consulting firms make you sit through a discovery call before they’ll mention a number. We’d rather respect your time. This page tells you what working with Berriault & Associates typically costs, how engagements are structured, and what drives the variation. If it’s not the right fit, you’ll know before either of us picks up the phone.
How Engagements Work
We work on a project basis, no hourly billing, no open-ended retainers. Every engagement follows the same three-phase structure: Baseline, System Install, and Full System. Each phase builds on the last, and you can start with Baseline alone or pre-commit to the full path from day one.
The Baseline is where every engagement starts. It’s a structured assessment and a clear roadmap, not a sales exercise dressed up as consulting. You’ll come out of it knowing exactly where the friction is, what’s driving it, and what the path forward looks like. Some clients use that roadmap to move forward with us. Others use it to act on their own. Either way, it’s a real deliverable.
If you continue, the System Install and Full System phases do the actual work: installing the behaviours, structures, and leadership accountability patterns the Baseline identified. A full engagement typically runs six months. Extensions are available at a lower rate for teams that want continued support.
Investment by Phase
All prices are in Canadian dollars and are based on the number of people directly involved in the engagement.
Baseline — Assessment and Roadmap
Most organizations begin with the Baseline because it prevents mis-scoping and ensures every dollar is spent on the right problem.
| Team Size | Investment |
| 1–25 people | $8,000 |
| 26–100 people | $13,500 |
| 101+ people | $20,000+ |
You walk away with a full diagnostic of where your team or organization is stuck, why it’s stuck, and a prioritized roadmap that’s specific to your situation, not a generic framework checklist.
Most leaders tell us the Baseline paid for itself before the System Install even began.
What You Get
- Diagnostic
- Priority map
- Top three issues
- Roadmap to evolve
System Install — Priority and Decision Infrastructure
This is the phase where throughput jumps 20–25% within two months.
| Team Size | Investment |
| 1–25 people | $15,000 |
| 26–100 people | $30,000 |
| 101+ people | $40,000+ |
This is where the roadmap gets built into how your organization actually works. Competing priorities get resolved. Decisions stop stalling. Leadership alignment gets reinforced over time, not just announced.
This is where teams feel the shift within weeks, not months

Full System — Leadership Coaching and Cross-Team Alignment
This is the phase that ensures the gains hold after we’re gone, the difference between temporary improvement and permanent capability.
| Team Size | Investment |
| 1–25 people | $18,000 |
| 26–100 people | $30,000 |
| 100+ people | $50,000+ |
The Full System adds executive coaching and cross-team alignment work on top of the System Install. This is the path for organisations that want the changes to hold at every level, and want internal champions who can sustain the gains after we’re gone.
Full engagement totals (all three phases combined) typically run from $40,000 for smaller teams to $84,000–$110,000+ for larger or more complex organizations.
Organizations choose this when they want the gains to hold without external support.
What You Get
- Accountability structure
- Decision flow redesign
- Coaching cadence

Pre-Commit Incentive
Clients who know upfront they want to go further pay 15% less for the full path. If you sign the Baseline and pre-commit to the System Install or Full System at the same time, the discount applies to the total. It’s not a promo, it’s a signal. Organizations that pre‑commit get better results and the pricing reflects that.
Team Pilot — A Low-Risk Starting Point
Not ready to commit to a full Baseline? The Team Pilot is a contained, hands-on engagement designed to give one team a real experience of the approach before the organization goes further. Pricing runs from $4,500 to $9,500 depending on team size. If you move forward within 30 days, 100% of that investment is credited toward the Baseline. It’s a way to see the work in action, not just hear us describe it.
A contained way to see the work in action not just hear it described.
What Drives the Investment
Team size is the main factor, more people means more complexity in the diagnostic, more leadership layers to align, and more time on the ground. But size isn’t the only variable.
Engagements where leadership can make decisions quickly and where there’s already some shared language around accountability tend to move faster and cost less to execute well. Engagements where priorities are deeply tangled, decision rights aren’t clear, or there are multiple competing agendas across teams take more time and that’s reflected in the scoping conversation, not a surprise after you’ve signed.
We’re straightforward about this when we talk. Scope is adjusted before we start never after you’ve signed.
What the Data Shows
Clients who go through a full engagement with us typically see 20–25% improvements in throughput within two months of the System Install. That’s the pattern across engagements, not a guarantee for any individual situation. What we can say with confidence is that the friction you’re living with right now, delayed decisions, re-explained direction, rework, teams waiting on each other, has a real cost before any consulting fee enters the picture. The friction you’re living with has a cost long before any consulting fee enters the picture.
